<p>I entered a community chili cookoff this past weekend in my beautiful city of Santa Clarita, CA. I have been perfecting this chili for the past year anticipating this contest so I could enter and WIN. It was my 1st time entering and I was hoping to possibly even win for the name of my chili.</p>
<p>I have even better news&#8230; I won for <span style="color: #ff9900;">MOST ZESTIEST</span> Chili! I was so thrilled to win and decided to share my healthy, zesty chili recipe with you.  Drum roll please&#8230;. My award winning zesty chili recipe:</p>
<h1><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Mouth- Watering Citrus Explosion Chili</span></h1>
<p>2 lbs Lean Ground Turkey<br />
2 packets Lawry&#8217;s Chili Seasoning<br />
2 cans Diced Tomatoes seasoned w/garlic, oregano, basil<br />
1 cup of water<br />
1 can Kidney Beans (50% less sodium)<br />
Tone&#8217;s Citrus Grill Seasoning (I have only found this at Sam&#8217;s Club)</p>
<p>Cook Ground Turkey &amp; Drain excess grease<br />
Rinse off kidney beans in a strainer for less sodium (more healthy)<br />
Mix all ingredients and add citrus grill seasoning to your liking.</p>
<p>I add A LOT! <img src='http://www.fatlossbyeatingwhatuwant.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt="icon smile Mouth Watering Citrus Explosion Chili" class='wp-smiley' title="Mouth Watering Citrus Explosion Chili" />   I should measure it out one day.</p>
<p>My family likes a lot of citrus seasoning so I tend to add a lot until it&#8217;s really flavorful.</p>

<h1>Ingredients:</h1>
<p>1/4 cup Parmesan cheese<br />
2 tablespoons butter, softened<br />
1 tablespoon and 1-1/2 teaspoons mayonnaise<br />
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice<br />
1/8 teaspoon dried basil<br />
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper<br />
1/8 teaspoon onion powder<br />
1/8 teaspoon celery salt<br />
1 pound tilapia fillets</p>
<h1>Directions:</h1>
<p>Preheat your oven&#8217;s broiler. Grease a broiling pan or line pan with aluminum foil.</p>
<p>In a small bowl, mix together the Parmesan cheese, butter, mayonnaise and lemon juice. Season with dried basil, pepper, onion powder and celery salt. Mix well and set aside.</p>
<p>Arrange fillets in a single layer on the prepared pan. Broil a few inches from the heat for 2 to 3 minutes. Flip the fillets over and broil for a couple more minutes. Remove the fillets from the oven and cover them with the Parmesan cheese mixture on the top side. Broil for 2 more minutes or until the topping is browned and fish flakes easily with a fork. Be careful not to over cook the fish.</p>
<p>Makes 4 servings. (I&#8217;m making this sauce for my salmon dinner tomorrow too!) Quick, easy &amp; healthy!!</p>

<p>- First, take a handful of frozen or fresh cherries: approximately 1/2 a cup (or whatever berry or fruit you happen to have on hand)</p>
<p>- 1-6oz. container of Greek Yogurt (your flavor of choice)</p>
<p>- 1 scoop of Prograde Vanilla Protein Powder</p>
<p>- 1 handful of chopped peaches: approximately 1/2 a cup</p>
<p>Reserve a few chunks of the fruit on the side</p>
<p>Blend the yogurt, <a href="http://www.yourprogradeproducts.com/store.php?page=85" target="_blank">Prograde Protein Powder</a>, and rest of the fruit till smooth.</p>
<p>Next, drop the reserved fruit into whatever popsicle containers you have</p>
<p>Pour the yogurt mixture in over the fruit, and freeze till solid.</p>

<p>Here&#8217;s a delicious recipe from a yummy recipe book by Prograde Nutrition.</p>
<h1><span style="color: #993366;">Roasted Red Pepper Chicken and Avocado Salad</span></h1>
<p>1 medium ripe avocado, peeled, pitted and sliced<br />
1 tsp.  lemon juice<br />
1 bag (10 oz.) torn romaine lettuce (about 10 cups)<br />
2 cups  shredded cooked chicken<br />
1 medium tomato, cut into wedges<br />
1 small  cucumber, sliced<br />
1/4 of a medium Vidalia or Walla Walla onion, chopped<br />
½ cup Red Pepper<br />
1/2 cup  Light or Fat-free Italian Dressing<br />
¼ cup Parmesan Cheese</p>
<p>Directions:</p>
<p>Toss avocados with lemon juice in large salad bowl.<br />
Add lettuce, chicken, tomatoes, cucumbers and onions; mix lightly.<br />
Add dressing; toss to coat.<br />
Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.</p>
<p>Serve immediately.</p>

<p>Have you ever avoided making a homemade pizza because you thought it would take hours to make? Well, I have a pizza recipe for you that fits perfectly with your healthy diet plans and the prep time for this delicious homemade pizza is only 20 minutes and then cook time is 15 minutes. This homemade pizza should be a part of your healthy eating plans. It tastes delicious and only takes about 35 minutes to make and serve. Recipe by registered dietician Jayson Hunter.</p>

<p><strong>Ingredients:</strong></p>
<p>1 12 ounce whole-wheat or whole-grain pizza crust, such as Boboli</p>
<p>1/4 cup pizza sauce</p>
<p>1/2 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained well</p>
<p>1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced</p>
<p>1 cup shredded part skim mozzarella cheese</p>
<p>6 medium white mushrooms, sliced</p>
<p>1/4 cup part skim ricotta</p>
<p>2 Tbsp grated Parmesan</p>
<p>1 Tbsp Extra Virgin olive oil</p>
<p>2 tsps Balsamic Vinegar</p>
<p>6 oz of chopped chicken, cooked</p>
<p> 1. Cook 6 oz of chicken and then cut into small chunks.</p>
<p>2. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Place a large pizza pan or baking sheet on the bottom of the oven to preheat.</p>
<p>3. Spread the pizza sauce on the pizza crust followed by the spinach and onion. Then sprinkle with the mozzarella and mushrooms. Dollop the ricotta over the pizza and sprinkle wiht the parmesan. Spread the chopped chicken over the pizza and finish by drizzling the olive oil all over.</p>
<p>4. Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated pizza pan or baking sheet that is in the oven. Bake until the crust is puffed and beginning to color at the edges and the cheese is melted. This should take about 10 minutes. Take the pizza out of the oven and then preheat the broiler.</p>
<p>5. Put the pizza back into the oven once the broiler is up to temperature and broil the pizza until the cheese is browned and bubbling. This will only take about 2-3 minutes. Pull the pizza out and let cool for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with the balsamic vinegar and slice and serve.</p>
