Is it ok for me to say the health care debate is driving me NUTS?
I know it’s a VERY touchy subject. I know people have VERY strong opinions about it.
But what nobody really wants to talk about is the fact we could simplify the heck out
of this by doing one thing:
Take better care of ourselves.
We should make this priority #1 in the Obama Health Care Plan.
We have this incredible love affair with making things so complicated. It’s absurd really.
Small, simple changes to the way we live our lives and the entire country would be SOOO
much healthier.
Let me give you an example in my own world:
I visited a family friend in the hospital over the weekend who was a high school state
football champion. He has always been a big guy and worked out constantly with his team.
Well he graduated and there is no more football. No more physical exercise and his diagnosis:
Fatty liver, fatty gall bladder, fatty blood and a sluggish heart. He is only 20 years old and his
doctor said that if he doesn’t make radical changes in his diet, he will die in less than 5 years.
The great thing is that he is taking this very seriously and as soon as he got out of the hospital,
he started making some of those radical changes in his exercise and nutrition plan.
But the moral of the story is simple: We make things a whole lot harder than they need to be.
Small changes add up to BIG results. They always have and they always will.
Does it solve all of our problems? No. But does it solve a lot? Yes, it really does.
I found this awesome special report on the benefits of
Six of the Most Powerful Antioxidants
to help you better understand the role nutrition plays in the anti-aging process. I’m sending this
over to my friend as well so he can live well past 25 years old.
This report features Jayson Hunter, registered dietitian for over 10 years and Head of Research and Development for Prograde Nutrition. Happy Reading!
